The heart behind CCGP

Before I could even drive a car, I was helping care for family friends' pets — riding my bike over to make sure no animal was left too long without a walk or a bathroom break. Once I got my license, I added overnight care and quickly became the go-to pet care provider in our social circle.

It took a few years after graduation to figure out what I wanted to do. Being the hard-working, stereotype-breaking woman I am, I set out to become an equipment operator — it has always been in my nature to prove that women can succeed in any field. Through years of road construction and driving a tow truck, the highlight of every single day was the same thing: seeing strangers' dogs hanging out car windows or at tow locations.

In the summer of 2021, the constant on-call schedule became too much to handle. Being around dogs was what I looked forward to most, so it finally clicked — I was born to be a full-time pet care provider. Those tough jobs taught me resilience, independence, and how to be prepared for anything, and that's exactly what led me here.

From the day Canine Compassion GP was founded, I understood that studying canine body language and training techniques would be necessary to improve my handling skills. My acquired dog training certification in behaviour modification and the knowledge I've gathered through experience and connections with other trainers has been invaluable to the canine enrichment services that I offer. I aspire to always keep learning and evolving, as it only will continue to benefit the dogs who cross my path.
